Basic Salary: Open to negotiate
Revenue sharing given per patient.
Job Overview: The Medical Director (Vietnam) will be a respected senior medical oncologist in Vietnam, and is responsible for overseeing all medical operations, clinical services, and health programs within the HCMC clinic, reporting to the Singaporean Senior Oncologist Medical Director and CEO from the Singapore Headquarters. The medical director also ensures high standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and program efficiency, while functioning as the senior practicing oncologist. This role involves the leadership of a small medical team of 2 Vietnamese specialists (1 oncologist and 1 internist), and coordination with Vietnamese healthcare authorities for medical compliance, while aligning the Vietnam clinic’s medical services with the goals of the organization.
Clinic Hours:
Monday to Friday: 07:30 am to 05:00 pm
Saturday: 07:30 am to 12:00 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Clinical Standards and Compliance:
- Ensure that all medical practices and programs adhere to the organization's policies, meets Vietnamese and International healthcare standards, and local regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the delivery of medical care, ensuring quality, safety, and patient satisfaction across all services and programs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international healthcare laws, regulations, and ethical standards. Mitigate operational risks and oversee audits as required.
- Lead the medical response in times of health emergencies, ensuring that the Vietnam Clinic is prepared for pandemics, natural disasters, and other crises.
2. Reporting & Communication:
- Reports to the Singaporean Senior Oncologist Medical Director and CEO & Executive Director from the Singapore Headquarters, regularly reporting on medical operational performance, health outcomes, and any emerging health risks.
- To follow the lead from Singaporean Senior Oncologist Medical Director in medical decisions.
- Works closely with the clinic manager for daily operational and business development matters.
3. Staff Development:
- Lead initiatives for the continuous professional development of specialists in the Vietnam Clinic.
- To constantly ensure the Cancer Clinic’s standard of service quality offered to Vietnamese patients meets Singapore’s standards.
- To lead a small team of cancer specialists (1x Internist and 1x Medical Oncologist) and resolve any issues that occur.
4. Develop and expand relationships and plans:
- Work with Clinic Manager to develop strong relationships with local authorities, partners, and community stakeholders to support Singapore headquarters’ healthcare objectives. Build and directly manage relationships with VN Associates and Doctors in medical industry.
5. Patient Care & Treatment:
- Diagnose, stage, and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with cancer, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies under the leadership of the Singaporean Senior Oncologist Medical Director, ensuring alignment with international standards.
- Collaborate closely with other specialists such as radiation oncologists, surgeons, and palliative care teams to provide a multidisciplinary approach to cancer care.
REQUIREMENTS
Attributes & Skills
- Able to follow the lead from Regional Headquarters with no issues.
- Well-known Oncologist in Vietnam.
- Has a good reputation in Vietnam, with a caring heart for cancer patients.
- Must be sociable, to meet with existing and new associates.
- Able to work in a team and be open to new initiatives.
Knowledge
- Medical Degree (M.D.) from an accredited university - Masters preferred.
- Board-certified in Oncology or related specializations.
- Licensed to practice in Vietnam, with additional experience in international clinical settings a plus.
- Around 30 years of experience as an Oncologist.
- Fluency in Vietnamese and English (spoken) is required.
