           2. JOB INFORMATION      

Career level: Professional. Intermediate level of experience needed, maximum around 10 years of oncology practicing experience.

Job type: Full-time, permanent

Work location: HCMC (within 15 minutes from D1/D3. To be confirmed soon) Head Office and Clinic will be in one building.

Basic Salary:  Open to negotiation.

                    Revenue sharing given per patient.

Job Overview: Seeking a skilled Internist, based in Vietnam, to treat Vietnamese cancer patients as part of a Singapore/ Vietnam medical team. As an internist, you will work in collaboration with Singaporean and Vietnamese specialists and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care for patients, focusing on disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of both acute and chronic conditions. The candidate will also deliver patient-centered care in line with world-class, Singapore standards. Opportunities to travel to Singapore for learning will be provided. Reports to local Vietnamese Medical Director.

Clinic Hours:  

Monday to Friday: 07:30 am to 05:00 pm

Saturday: 07:30 am to 12:00 pm

3. RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Patient Care & Treatment:

  1. Conduct thorough assessments, including patient history, physical exams, and diagnostic tests.
  2. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and respiratory issues.
  3. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  4. Coordinate care with other Singapore/ Vietnamese medical professionals, including referrals to specialists when necessary.
  5. Must be contactable by patients.

2. Medical Procedures:

  1. Perform minor clinic-based medical procedures and diagnostic tests as needed.
  2. Interpret laboratory results, imaging studies, and other diagnostics to inform treatment.
  3. Build and maintain strong patient-doctor relationships.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress.
  5. Provide follow-up care and monitor ongoing health issues.

3. Collaboration:

  1. Act as the main practicing Internist in the Vietnam clinic, working directly under the Vietnam-based and the Singapore-based Medical Director. The Singapore Headquarters Medical Director is higher in rank.
  2. Actively participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and telemedicine consultations with the Singaporean team.
  3. Ensure that the candidate stays updated on new cancer treatments and techniques through regular training and workshops.
  4. Work with Clinic Manager to meet any new or existing associates to form/ maintain new medical partnerships, if needed.

4. Training & Development:

  1. Provide mentorship and training to Vietnamese clinic nursing staff on patient care best practices.
  2. Facilitate continuous medical education and participate in conferences and seminars locally and abroad in Singapore.

5. Patient Education & Support:

  1. Educate patients and families on cancer diagnosis, treatment options, side effects, and lifestyle adjustments.
  2. Provide emotional and psychological support to patients throughout their treatment journey.
  3. Promote patient safety and Singaporean quality standard of care.

6. Compliance & Reporting:

  1. Ensure compliance with both local Vietnamese healthcare regulations and international oncology standards.
  2. Prepare regular reports on patient outcomes and treatment efficacy for review by the Vietnamese and Singaporean Oncologist Medical Director.

 

4. REQUIREMENTS              

Attributes & Skills 

  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in cross-cultural settings.
  • Ability to work under the mentorship and direction of an international medical leader.
  • A commitment to patient-centered care and staying up to date on the latest oncology advancements.

Knowledge

  • Medical Degree (M.D.) from an accredited university.
  • Board-certified in Internal Medicine.
  • Licensed to practice in Vietnam, with additional experience in international clinical settings a plus.
  • Around of 10 years of experience as an Internist.
  • Fluency in Vietnamese and English (both written and spoken) is required.
  • Experience working with international teams and an understanding of multicultural medical practices.
